Group leader: Lesley

Welcome to this new group for 2026. It is dedicated to all cricket lovers, whether you want to study and talk about the game past and present at our monthly meetings, or take a more active role. Activities include following local teams, visiting famous cricket grounds, and actually playing the game in either the T5 or the T10 format.

Well known throughout this area and beyond, group leader Lesley is a qualified coach and umpire, and a certified member at Lord's and with the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board). What's more, her grandfather Eddie Paynter played in the famous Bodyline Ashes tour of Australia in 1932-3!
