The first meeting of the U3a Croquet group will take place at Charlbury Cricket Club on Tuesday 14 April at 3 pm and thereafter on a weekly basis.

It would be great to have members who have already played croquet to help coach and explain the rules! We will also need donations of equipment, please.

We hope to have 3 pitches, i.e. 12 people playing for about 45 to 60 minutes. If our numbers grow sufficiently, sessions on Wednesday and Thursday may follow.

We'll offer the two forms of the game: Golf Croquet and the more sophisticated Association Rules. There will be no match charge, but members will eventually need to join the cricket club as Social Members (£30 per year) after a trial period of a few sessions. A bar and coffee will be available.
