Group Leader: Cathy

The Group meets fortnightly on Thursdays at the Fox in Chipping Norton.

This group is for those who wish to improve their basic written and spoken French. We start off with a chat in French and then go on to read and translate articles from an interesting French magazine that reflects modern French life, which in turn triggers more conversation and even (well, often) laughter – and sometimes a little grammar, where relevant.

Members will have done O Level or its equivalent long ago but will find more remains in their head than they feared!

Cathy was born in France and moved to the UK in the late 1970s. She has in the past taught English to French people and now finds herself helping English people learn or remember their French. Being part of the group helps her reconnect with her native language.
